Frequently Asked Window Cleaning Questions
How do you charge?
We charge per pane of glass. If you have an accurate count of your home's windows estimates are possible by phone or email. We'd also be happy to come out and do an estimate for you, delivered in person, by email, or left at your home.
What is a pane?
Seemingly simple, in our experience this is often misunderstood. A single pane of glass is any single piece of glass encased on all four sides with either wood, vinyl, or metal. For a complete cleaning, a pane includes both the inside and outside surfaces of the glass, although an exterior-only cleaning is often effective as part of a Scheduled Cleaning Package.
How do you clean the windows?
We clean your glass using a biodegradable soft soap solution and squeegees or with purified water and a soft brush. See our Pure Water Cleaning page for more information.
Can you clean windows year-round?
Yes! In the winter months we use a special solution which will not freeze on your windows. If you schedule during the winter months, please note that your appointment may need to change due to temperature and snowfall. We look for the warmer days to do the work, preferring the air temperature to reach into the 20's if possible.
Do I have to be there when you are cleaning my windows?
Your level of comfort determines that. Many of our clients trust us with access to their home or business when they aren't around. If you aren't home for the cleaning, we would like a way to contact you with questions or information should the need arise.
Do the crew members need access to a water source?
For power washing and gutter cleaning a water source is necessary. It is helpful for all window cleaning jobs as well, especially for spraying dust and pollen from screens. However, window cleaning can be done without a water source as we bring our buckets and solution with us.
Do I have to move anything before you clean?
Yes. If you have knick-knacks on your window sills, we would like you to remove them prior to the cleaning. For larger furniture, our team can reposition them for better window access, but we prefer it if you disconnect cords and cables, and clear desks if necessary for window access.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require a notice of at least two business days for all cancellations. Any cancellation made after this deadline will be honored; however, please know you will be charged a cancellation fee of $85. In the case of emergency, the charge may be waived.
